It's hard to believe Rowan has been here for almost a month. Every day I'm amazed at how much she is changing; I look at her in the morning and she's a different person than the one I put to bed a few hours earlier. I'll post some new pics soon.
This is my body,
given for you-
stomach soft and pale
as bread dough punched down
after a 9-months'-morning rise,
mulberry nipples
fountaining drops of milk
that cascade down my chest and thighs,
tracing silver-pink scars
before they sour and mingle
with the scents of blood and sweat.
Wake and eat.
