heh.
On the geek test I ranked 30.17751% - "Total Geek". Guess that means I should go to the Geek Prom tomorrow night. (Actually, it looks like it could be fun.)
Not much to report these days. We love our new washer & dryer! It's amazing how much better they work! Things actually get dry! And clean! Oooh! Ahhhh. The basement sheetrocking is almost done & we should be able to start painting in a day or so. And I've been learning more about the process of making & repairing drums. There's something amazing about watching a cone of wood spin on the lathe and transform into a drum.
One tiny gold crocus has opened in the front garden. I wonder when its friends will be brave enough to show their faces to the world?
Yesterday I rescued two clumps of interloper purple crocuses that had planted themselves smack-dab in the middle of the back-side lawn. They were too pretty to leave there as fodder for the lawnmower.
We also planted an apple tree in the front yard. Now we are no longer the only front-treeless house on the block.
I fell asleep last night to the sound of the neighbors' windchimes coming through the open window. The open window! How long has it been since I've been able to do that? It seems like a lifetime ago. (And, I suppose, in some ways it is.) Even though I'm now trapped in my office for the next 8.5 hours, the birds chirping outside my window and the faint breeze which glides across the back of my neck remind me that spring has finally come.
I was quite amused by Google Romance - especially their online tour. First posted on Saturday the 1st. ;-)
